WHAT IS ON THE GIZA PLATEAU?

The Giza Plateau is a levelled area of limestone that is roughly one mile square
and presently is about 130 feet above the Nile Valley.
These two views of the Giza Plateau show the three great pyramids, pyramid temples and valley temples, "satellite" pyramids, the Sphinx complex, cemeteries and causeways. The photo on the left is from "Die Ägyptischen Pyramiden" by Rainer Stadelmann (permission pending); the drawing on the right is a detail from "The Guide to the Giza Plateau".
